Liz Peters is a recent graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute, majoring in Fiber Arts and Art History. Her focus is in fashion and textile design. She uses techniques such as quilting, knitting, embroidery, and silkscreen printing and incorporates them into innovative and unique garments.
She had interned with designer Peggy Noland of Peggy Noland Kansas City creating garments for both local and international musicians and performers, costume designer Georgianna Londre Buchanan, working on several productions at the Coterie Theater in Kansas City designing and creating costumes, as well as the Shakespeare Festival during the summer of 2010 in the costume department.
April 30th, 2011, she presented her first collection of Party Poodle Prints at the Emerald Space in the Westbottoms of Kansas City, MO.
She is currently living in Brooklyn, New York, where she is the studio manager for fashion and textile designer, Gerlan Marcel, of Gerlan Jeans.
